That may be better than Mizzou's current recruiting class.

What is going on over there?

I know y'all weren't a powerhouse at recruiting before but I thought I remembered a few Top25 classes?

That was when we actually went to bowl games. We had a lot of people decommit but they most of them still have Mizzou high at the list. We also have a couple more pretty good recruits interested in Mizzou. We should end up with a decent recruiting class just not one by SEC standards.

He wasn't committed for very long.

Probably got caught up in the hype that day- he was our 3rd of 4 that day I think.

I assume we stopped recruiting him after that as we still had a lot of "better" guys still on our board and a lot of time.

I know he's only a 3*, but so was Antonio Morrison and Luiches Purifoy and they have contributed a LOT so far.

Muschamp and Quinn know who to go after on defense.

I love how Joker Phillips is recruiting guys at Florida that he'd never even glance at while being a HC here. What a :lanekiffin: ing asshole.

I hope Stoops starts taken recruits right out from under UF and F$U. :)

Wouldn't hold my breath.

He wasn't the greatest recruiter at FSU.

By UK standards he's a great recruiter. We already have the best recruiting class we've had in a long long time. Very impressive he's getting recruits from both Florida and Ohio.

Didn't he have all americans at F$U? How could that defense be what it was without good recruits. ACC standards of course.

I mean that he was the fourth or fifth best recruiter on the staff.

He is much better at coaching than he is at recruiting, not that he is bad at it.

I think they had one AA defense end out of high school and they legitimately ended this year with three.

We got lucky with Christian Miller. His dad was Corey Miller a former South Carolina alum and NFL Linebacker, and he played for Lawing while at SC. It was said that the younger Miller was encouraged by his dad to go to Florida because of Lawing. When asked who he models his game after Miller immediately replied Jarvis Jones. After looking at the tape on this kid I can see it.

News is out that the Gators might flip 2 acc recruits, 1 from fsu and 1 from miami.

The kid from FSU, J.C. Jackson, is listed as an Athlete who can play either the corner or WR spot. He's looked on as about a 4 star recruit and he really like his visit to Gainesville for the junior day.

The Miami recruit, Travis Rudolph, is a 6'0, 180 pound guy who reminds me a ton of chris rainey (skillset wise at least, hopefully none of the off the field issues). Looking at some tape he can play either the slot wide receiver spot, or a speed back. His career stats include 1,275 rushing yards with 20 td's, and 1,842 receiver yards, and 23 td's. Really really versatile.

For those Gators who remember the heart break that was recruiting Stefon Diggs there is hope for another. 2014 Prospect Trevon Diggs, the brother of Stefon recently had an interview with 247 Sports.

"Diggs mainly lined up at cornerback during this weekend, but he was able to haul in 37 catches for 769 yards and seven touchdowns this past season. So what side of the ball does he want to play?

“I can’t decide between corner and receiver. I’ll decide eventually.”

While the recruiting process has yet to truly begin for the younger Diggs, he has an early idea of where he would like to go.

“Florida, basically down south,” he said. “It’s hot, I like it hot and I like the speed.”

This weekend was not Diggs’ first trip to the state of Florida. He made his way to Gainesville during his brother’s official visit last winter.

“I talked Muschamp when my brother went down there for a visit. It was fun, really fun.”

Trevon says his brother has not spoken to him about attending Maryland, but he has passed on some advice when dealing with the recruiting process."

The Gators added another 2014 commit in a big behemoth offensive lineman. OG Joseph Paul - 6'4" 340 lbs from New Orleans. Paul had offers from UF, TAMU, FSU, Texas, Oklahoma, OK State, and Tulane. It may be wrong, but according to the ESPN app it says he is the #1 Guard in the nation and #1 player in Louisiana but im not so sure about that.

"Prior to the Orlando NTFC, two of Florida’s top targets named the Gators their leader. Recently offered four-star ‘Buck’ candidate Trent Harris of Winter Park (Fla.) gave Florida the edge in his recruitment and announced a decision should be coming from him shortly.

Monster 6-foot-8, 305-pound Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy offensive tackle Denzel Ward followed suit naming Florida his leader while wearing a Gators beanie. Ward also announced official visits dates to Oklahoma and Florida this fall.

This was also the weekend West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman wide receiver Travis Rudolph backed off his pledge to the Miami Hurricanes and once again named Florida the school to beat for his services."

I was thinking about starting a "2014 Arkansas Razorbacks recruiting thread" but then I realized I would never update it and would just be wasting server space...

We have all 4*s except for the OL, which is just fine.

Will Grier has been shooting up the rankings and has been performing well at camps.

So, today I was reading this article about one of the top offensive lineman in the nation....

"

David Sharpe is one of the most heavily recruited players regardless of position from the Southeast. The 6'7 280-pound offensive tackle has early offers from power house programs such as Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Nebraska, Tennessee and Virginia Tech to name a few. This past weekend Sharpe had a chance to check out one of his early favorites in the Florida Gators.

"It was great. We started out listening to Will Muschamp in team meetings then I went to OL meetings then out to the practice. It was the best visit so far and I loved talking to Will Muschamp and Coach Davis. Will Muschamp was telling me how fired up he is about me and glad I am close. He wants me up there to be a Gator and he wants me on that team to help out the program. Probably talking to Will Muschamp was the best part and watching the practice. The offensive line during practice did great and those guys are big and really good. They have a great line and a great coach."

"My dad has been a Gator since day one so he really loved it and my coach was happy about it and excited."

Sharpe says he will more than likely be back for the Orange and Blue game in early April."

And I was getting pumped, dude sounds really good and he is from Jacksonville so that sounded even better. But as I was reading, the name sounded super familiar. I mean its possible I knew him, same town and all. But then I looked at the picture. He was a freshman when I was a junior and I had gym with him. He is possibly one of the dumbest people I have ever met. Really cool guy and all, but he isn't exactly going to be on any honor roll. And the fact that he transfered to a private school makes me think that they might be pulling some strings over there because he was inelligible at our school to play football for his first 2 years and was barely elligible to play basketball my senior year.

If we get him, i'd love it because he's really talented, but I'm kind of worrying about his academic standings.

If he's in private school, I'm not worried.

Glad Jax is finally building some elite prospects on the regular.

Yeah, Im glad we got some going to Florida now. Most people who come out of Jacksonville were either from Bolles or First Coast, and First Coast was pretty much an FSU pipeline which is why I was surprised we got McMillian to commit.

The Gators have added a commit to 2014 Defensive Tackle Anthony Moten(6'4, 297 lbs). Moten, who announced his decision via Twitter, is a 4* recruit and replaces Travonte Valentine who decommitted in February. This gives the Gators 8 committs total,

4*'s Will Grier (QB), Ryeshene Bronson (WR), Duke Dawson (DB), Christian Miller(LB/DE) and Moten,

3*'s Travaris Dorsey (G), Joseph Paul (G/OT), and Benjamin Knox (OT)
