good ole 2004.  bcs usually got the right teams in the champ game, but not that year.

Yeah, that was the year Auby got left our right? 

I believe USC, OU and Auby were all undefeated at the end of the year. (Not counting some mid-major Utah or Boise St)

yah.

auburn played a strong va tech team, and usc destroyed the okies.  auburn would have made a much better game out of the NC, but okies were still considered to have some cache back then and got the nod.

lol,  they dont get to claim Natty status by beating a #6.    Let them try to beat 2  #1 in 3 weeks .

To me it’s simple. The non power 5 conferences should just leave and have their own playoff and title.

Not according to the NCAA website. That's where I got the list from. USC actually share the 2003 Championship with LSU too. But LSU has the BCS and USC has the AP.

vacate or not, usc still won it on the field. thats what counts and thats what people remember.
