UCF has the largest campus in the U.S. based on student enrollment.  Join a P5 conference and compete with the big boys if you want a shot at the NC.

So...  NOBODY has been saying that they think UCF is better than the 4 teams selected in this year's playoff.  How did they whoop up on Auburn?  That has me a bit perplexed.  Their talent is basically 3* across the board.  It looks like Chip Kelly's offense with Gus Malzahn's shotions and misdirection.  They run it faster and with more of a west coast flair.  I think the offense is just new and complex for a defense to read combined with the hurry up.  Players have to maintain their gaps.  I was curious why it looked like Auburn was running a pure zone defense and was getting torched by these 3*.  They just executed the offense well.  We are not through seeing this offense.  It might be everywhere by this spring.

UCF won because they wanted to be there and Auburn didn't.  It happens all the time with bowl games.

Or at least play some of the the P5 teams during the regular season. You can't have a 3.5 month preseason against cupcakes, win one game, and claim to be the National champion.  It's funny.

The 4 team playoff is really tough.  You get the best teams across the land in back to back games.  You could be the better team and get so banged up in the first game that you drop the second.  It's much much tougher than the BCS.  BCS was Hope, hope, hope, hope, one and done.  The playoff did allow Bama to back into the championship this year though.  They looked so fresh!  RTR!

Seems like Auburn (or somebody) would have put some licks on that little QB and made him a little more respectful.  He was tough to get a hand on.

You see this in high school lacrosse.  While there are good teams all over the nation, the best teams, in numbers, are in the northeast.  Within the Northeast are a handful of conferences/leagues which are simply better than the other conferences/leagues.  e.g. The MIAA in Baltimore consistently has 3-4 teams in the Top 10.  Now, these ten or whatever MIAA teams are playing each other, beating each other, etc.  To come out of one of these conferences/leagues undefeated is rare.  And if a team accomplishes this, the team is ridiculously good.  It's very hard to go undefeated within these leagues.  (Sound familiar?)  And then, some team from California comes to Baltimore, plays one game, wins and... they're #1 in the nation?!  Of course not.  It was one game!  Play several games and win 'em all, that's different.  But even then, it's not a guarantee of being top of the heap.  UCF!  It was one freakin' game!  :)

That offense was successful all year.  Undefeated.  Two years ago they went winless...  I kind of feel like there was some funny business, but they were very well coached.  On the radio I heard that one of their players praised Auburn's speed but apparently their team motto is UCFast.

Why would Marlon Davidson decomit from So Cal to go to UCF?  This 4* Memphis RB, 8th or 9th in the nation, chose UCF over ev-ver-y-bod-y.  Maybe he just liked the skool?

Make no mistake, UCF is good.  But "#1 in the nation with a parade" good?!  It's ridiculous...

'04 Auburn?  It is a little ridiculous, but this is a game of politics as much as football.  By promoting the idea that UCF and the Frost offense can beat anybody they are setting the table for future committee selection debate to swing more their way.  The SEC got the benefit of the doubt a few times after the Auburn Championship rings.  -Especially after the Reggie Bush scandal.  It's a little bit ironic that they beat Auburn to win the national championship parade.

no worse than FSU's state champion rings for beating crappy florida and miami teams.

dint think Limpo will be able to pull that off at AM since they don't even play anyone in state.

Simple solution is to have two playoffs, one for group of five, one for power five

you take the winner of each of the P5 and three at large bids and make it 8 team playoff that way at least three SEC teams can make it to the playoffs and the piss, moaning, and groaning can continue.

done. group of 5 is the aa, and they can do whatever,  cuz no one cares cuz theyre not real schools anyways, just a disco with books.

the other option is 8 team playoff. five conference winners (eliminate conf champ games), one group of 5, two at large. may be slightly watered down, but who cares its still makes better football cuz you have more games that count; teams will come to play, unlike auburn in the peach bowl.  and you could even make an argument for three at large teams if no group of five team meets a certain criteria that year.

The physical wear and tear with the big bodies is why anything more than 4 team playoff  isn't fair to the players, tooooo many games

With the month off the teams getting the bye would be at a disadvantage
