Yes it’s cold

When I left the house this morning at 4:30am it was 5 degrees. Sure makes that remote start worth the money.

Lots of pretty neat bells and whistles on vehicles these days I use a few like the backup camera, wifi, Bluetooth my phone and whatnot but I never used the remote start except those cold mornings. It's nice when that windshield is frosted.

I feel bad for anyone who has to be out in it. I hate it but we really did need it the last few years bugs would about tote you off and my poor cows couldn't stop swatting flies.

I’m not so sure it helps. I started wondering when I learned mosquitos are as bad in Alaska as in the Mississippi delta. I think the loss of cotton acres has brought back more bugs. No crop dusting knocking things back

The jet stream is a B****.  Sunday I removed a gallon of mix from the radiator of the truck and replaced with pure antifreeze to boost the cold protection.  Monday, the heater hose blew off losing my precious dexcool and I had to fix it to make it to work today.  It was so cold.

Ours seem better or worse depending on what the farmers are growing that cycle.  From best to worst it seems to be wheat, soybeans and then corn....

Corn holds a lot of insects that can’t be killed because the pesticide can’t get to the ear. When it dries they come out in full force.

It was -4 with -20 windchill the other day. My first instinct when it was only 3 degrees and -7 windchill was "wow, this isn't bad. It must've really warmed up."

We are single digits again today and I had to go to work every snow day because the Chinese don't take snow days.
