Fifth-year senior Eric Anderson (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) continued his strong 2014 campaign with another impressive showing, throwing six innings, striking out seven and holding No. 22 Mississippi State (26-15, 10-8) to three runs in Mizzou's (17-21, 6-12) 9-7, 11-inning loss to the Bulldogs Sunday (April 20) afternoon at Taylor Stadium. Anderson also scored a run to help the Tigers build a 7-3 lead into the seventh inning. Anderson's outing was his latest in a string of strong starts, as the senior has now thrown at least six innings with three or less runs allowed in his last five starts, boasting a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 41-to-6 in those contests. As the leadoff hitter, Anderson has now reached in the first inning in 18 of 27 attempts.
