Uh, might wanna see somebody play on D1 level before proclaiming them the best. Jmho.

That's the point. This is my bold prediction.

Well, we still run a running offense so it would be tough for him to put up league leading numbers. That doesn't mean he wouldn't be the best receiver. I think he'll have around 1000 yards and 10 TDs.

If it can't be proven someone isn't the best, they aren't.

Don't take it back now haha

Ok I think he'll be the best receiver. 1000+ yards, 10+ TDs and first team All-SEC.

I'll probably still take Amari Cooper and any other Bama reciever as a duo, maybe a little biased...maybe not.

I guess anythings possible, but I don't buy it. Not with the guys returning next year who have already proven their metal on the D1 level.

I'm expecting a Cordarrelle Patterson type year.

Maybe less drops though?

Yeah, he's a much better pure receiver than Patterson was at this stage. Although won't be a return man.

Debatable, trying not to sound like NCIH. Pretty good with over the shoulder catches. Who is going to throw it to him? Should this be in the Auburn forum? I was surprised a little by Cameron Sims' tape. I like our guys. Congrats on filling a need with a great player.

<Insert petty personal insults and lame accusations of trolling here>

Anyway, I don't know that we'll throw enough to have two WR's with huge years. I expect Marshall to throw more (and more accurately) than he did last year, but we need to feed Coates and Williams both with the deep ball, so unless Marshall goes for 2,500+ yards in the air (possible, but I'm not ready to bet on that yet), it's gonna be hard for Williams' stats to show how good he really is.

Of course if Marshall turns the corner with his passing game... He'll be a Heisman front-runner and Williams/Coates will dominate.

I'd take Treadwell over this guy that hasn't even played at D1 level

We may not have a marquee guy, but our WR corps is pretty decent headed into next season. Shaq Roland really caught steam at the end of this season, maybe it'll carry over into next year as well.

One thing is for sure. No MSU receiver can really even be nominated lol.

We teach our receivers to drop the ball so no one will key in on them and they can be open to drop the ball.

Yeah, Jancek's famous man to man defense with no blitz on 3rd and 4th down.

Lord knows that was the gameplan last year.
    • Titans4Vols
Shoop knows how to cover it up with his blitzes, and with Martin out our secondary isn't too bad. We've got two good safeties and the corners are passable sans-Martin(who himself isn't as bad as he showed yesterday, but still isn't good).   Plus a big bonus is Georgia WRs have no idea how to catch a football, so we could probably leave them uncovered and still be ok.
    • Based Potato
Eh, don't overrate the defensive performance. Our secondary is a liability.
    • Titans4Vols
Eason(who I do think has a lot of potential, but he's just too inexperienced) won't be able to do anything against a Bob Shoop defense, so as long as DeBord gets his s**t together, we should win this game with ease. It being in Georgia is my only big concern. Will be the first time we've left the state of Tennessee this year, and first time not in front of a majority Tennessee crowd(Bristol was probably 65-35 Tennessee/Va Tech fans).
