Oregon Bakery the latest victim of gay marriage crap

154 posts in this topic

The Oregon bureau of labor has decided to close a christian bakery because they exercised their constitutionally protected freedom of religious expression. How awesome is that? Not even a real court, a department now has the power of the police behind it to come after you if you exercise a constitutionally protected right they don't like.

Thank you lenienist progressives. I hope I am dead when you fully take over in my state.

Marriage is not "religious." However your church decides to honor a marriage is protected, but marriage has a legal definition and the bakery discriminated.

Get your heads out of your asses. Live and let live.

It's a legally binding document. Do I really need to spell it out for you?

read the part where people with those lifestyles are purposely targeting Christian owned businesses?

I did.

I'm not surprised though.

Gays are just like vegans- they will shove their ideas down your throat until you agree with them.

Absolutely nothing is as important to them as gay rights.

:lanekiffin: the economy, :lanekiffin: the national debt, :lanekiffin: foreign affairs- but they could write you a 8,000 page essay about how important gay rights are.

They think they are crusaders.

So, it was against their religion to make a cake?

I'd love to see that passage in the Bible.

Don't get me wrong- I disagree with what the Bureau of Labor is doing, but it seems it would be a non-issue if the store just made a cake, since no where in the Bible does it say anything about what they do. I don't really understand the philosophical basis for the stance of the store owners. Of course, this gets more into the question of whether businesses can deny service to anyone they choose, and more specifically- if they can, do they need to express their reasoning for denying service when they do so. Did this store simply deny service, or did they go out of their way to ensure the couple knew WHY they were denying service (which seems unnecessary)

You cannot be THIS ignorant... Why should those who feel oppressed quiet down in order to sort problems YOU consider to be more important than their rights?

"Civil rights? Nah...worry about vietnam right now..."

There are always more important issues, but keeping quiet does nothing more than empower the ignorant.

Talking about Gay rights here, not snobbish vegans.

When the goal of a group is to cause as many problems and as much chaos as possible, in order to achieve what they want, I have a serious problem with it.

Gays aren't special.

If they want these rights so badly, and it is so vitally important to the history of the world- move to any of the number of states where they can have them.

I'm just exhausted by their tactics of bullying people into acceptance.
