Cameron Artis-Payne - Senior - Big, powerful back that can make vertical cuts on a dime and accelerate faster than any linebacker. Saw flashes of brilliance against Arkansas State, LSU, WCU and Missouri. Ran for over 2,000 yards his last year of JUCO.

Peyton Barber - RS Freshman - Was redshirted because of our depth at RB this year and has taken great advantage of working out and getting ready for next year. He's bulked up to 230 and is running even faster than he was when he arrived at 217. From player's and coach's accounts he is a total monster and dominated on scout team this year. Ran for 1,700 yards as a senior in HS.

Roc Thomas - Freshman - The big time, blue chip recruit. Shifty with elite acceleration and vision. Is more muscular than he seems and can break tackles. Great receiver out of the backfield and can play in the slot if needed. Ran for 2,000 yards in high school this year despite nagging ankle injuries.

I'd go with Roc Thomas just on name alone.

But srsly, he sounds like the most versatile, which would make him more valuable in that offense. That's assuming that he can block of course.

Thomas needs to put on some weight to take the carries in the backfield like Mason, either way he's a dangerous threat in the sweep role.

Artis-Payne should get a shot.

CAP didn't impress me this year, but a change of roles and another offseason could make him one of the best in the SEC. He has all the attributes.

IMO CAP and Grant will be used about like they were this year... I think we should either redshirt Roc Thomas or just give him a few carries a game... Let him bulk up, learn the system, and get comfortable. I really think Peyton Barber could be a monster in this offense... I'm excited to see what he can do because I could see him going for 1,000+ yards as a freshman in this offense if he gets the carries.

CAP's got the physical skills, but I think he had to have done something to piss coaches off... He only had 5 carries in the last 4 games total. Makes me wonder if something happened in practice.

I am interested to see the three of them battle for the starting job - should result in one or two top RBs on the field for us.

I really hope that we can move Johnathan Ford back to TB. He looks to have really good speed with some shake and bake to go with it.

ROC is a real beast; possibly the best naturally talented RB we've seen yet. And Malzahn ain't afraid to play freshmen. Dyer?

Our offense is going to be BRUTAL next year

LSU just canned Les Miles.    Was reading tiger rant last night, and dude came on and called it for 4pm today. Guess there really are some insiders over there.   Orgeron interim.

I'm assuming Armada might take over as interim(for some reason this was included in my quote as well?)

He's definitely earning his check.  I've watched all of y'alls games this year and it just seemed like Tennessee was either playing to their competition or wasn't on the same page or I don't know what....spurts of really great football and then spurts of what the hell?   The difference this year is y'all have been able to overcome those things early in the season.  I think this win is going to be the galvanized game that takes y'all to Atlanta as much as it pains me to say it.

What he was good at doing this past off-season is hiring Bob Shoop. I had the incredible pleasure of watching John Chavis coordinate our defense for over a decade here, and Bob Shoop brings me memories of Chavis' defenses. So good at halftime adjustments. How many DCs in this game can gameplan to overcome losing 3 of their top 4 players, when those 3 will all be drafted in the first two rounds?(Sutton and JRM this upcoming draft, and Kirkland whenever he decides to leave) If Shoop isn't one of the top candidates for the Broyles award(top assistant coach in college football) so far, the award is a sham.
