FINAL POLL

23 posts in this topic

#6 in both polls, I can live with that. There will be a lot of excitement around these parts for OU next season. All of our tough games are in Norman.

Three SEC teams in the top 5. I can live with that.

Oh, none of them are Bama, either.

So, South Carolina is the 2nd best team in the SEC for this season?

Cool.

And no Auburn at #1, damn that's gonna sting for a looooong time.

Yeah, it hurts so bad being ranked number two in the entire country.

I think UCF is under rated. They could beat Ohio State and Stanford, imo.

Half the league in the top 25, 3 of the top 5 and 5 of the top 14...man we suck.

South Carolina beat 5 top 25 teams including 3 ranked in the top 10.

Not too shabby.

MSU (Michigan State) should be 2

Why should they be? Auburn lost in the dying seconds of the game and Michigan State barely won as well. Auburn is very deserving of the #2 spot.

Because Michigan State only has one loss and played like a title contender in the Rose Bowl.

And Auburn didn't play like a title contender? Also, the losses are irrelevant IMO for this comparison considering the supposed #1 team in the country had to beat Auburn in the dying seconds of the game. If that didn't happen, Auburn would be #1. Their ranking is fine for me and is well deserved.

You find that silver lining, boi!

I can not think of a more useless position to argue over than who is more deserving of the #2 spot in the final college football poll.

Agreed but still his logic as for my MSU should be #2 is flawed IMO given how both games played out.

You got me on that one. Not the best of titles. Hopefully it isn't the final poll.

SEC had 7 in the top 25. First time since 2005 that the top-ranked team was not from the SEC.
