Kenny Miles Shot

7 posts in this topic

Former Gamecock Kenny Miles has been shot. According to police he is in critical condition right now.

According to police it was robbery attempt. The scumbag who shot Miles was trying take his jewelry. He was shot in the Irmo area, which in Columbia is where a lot of upper income people live.

Kenny was a RB here for 5 years. He was always a team leader and was never in any trouble.

Prayers for him. He is a great Gamecock.

The good news is Kenny will be okay physically. The bad news, it appears he lied to police about the events leading up to the shooting. Police are upset because they say they have wasted resources chasing down false information. Kenny's world is about to come down around him.

They will always play second fiddle to Texas.  And they are likely about to share their metropolitan area with a new Power 5 team in Houston that has the hottest coach in the country.   Both have all the money and resources they could ever hope for.  A coach isn't going to ask for something and not receive it at either.  But LSU is the only player in their state and they have autonomy.  That's the tie breaker in my opinion.

TAMU is in  a bigger state with more folks and more folks with deeper pockets if for no other reason than sheer population alone.

Texas a state produces way more talent than Louisiana does. So much that it doesn't hurt either the Aggies or Longhorns at all to share it. And I agree. Les deserved to finish the season.
