2013 season is about to tip off with our first exhibition against Transy....aka "The Battle on Broadway."

Thought I'd start a thread for us to discuss our games and stuff during the week until SEC play starts and we have official game threads on here. Mostly this thread will just be me drunk and ranting during games, I'm sure.

Transy wisely playing zone against us. Over/under on how long Poythress takes to do something that pisses me off is 2 minutes. Take the under.

For all the hype the Harrisons and Randle have received, Young may end up being the best player on this team.

I don't like our defensive effort so far. I want total shutdown. Where you at Anthony Davis?

I don't really care for Baker and Conley calling this game with such hubris. Give Transy some props, stay classy, and lets move on.

Well we got the powerhouse from Montevallo coming into Rupp tonight. I want to see some serious lockdown defensive tenacity. We held Transy to 12 in the second half....let's hold these guys to 10 both halves. Apparently Dwayne Peevy has something to do with this school and why we scheduled them. Who knows...I just want to see 40 minutes of defensive hell. The offense will be fine. But they need that killer instinct on the boards and such with Sparty just around the corner.

Tonight's starting lineup

PG Polson

SG Harrison

SF Young

PF Randle

C Cauley-Stein

I guess Andrew is still gonna be held out if he isn't starting tonight...that or Polson went beast mode in practice over the weekend :D

Not pleased with tonight's performance at all. This is not the #1 team right now and we damn sure aren't ready for Sparty.

MSU will beat us because we are too young to hang....but they'll want no part of us come March.

Respect the process. We'll look better with Harrison running point instead of Polson, but still....better defense is needed asap

We haven't looked great thus far in our two exhibition games. Have to iron things but I know its still early. Lots of things to work on.

It does seem like Jones is good at getting his teams to improve over the course of each season.

heeeyy... that was an auburn fan... funny to watch nonetheless. Pretty sure the tree will be fine.   "Wiest was developed as a suspect and immediately taken into custody while still in the area on an unrelated charge of public intoxication," according to a press release from Auburn police. "Further investigation resulted in Wiest being identified as the individual responsible for setting the fire and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. He was arrested while incarcerated in the Lee County jail on the prior charge and his bond was set at $1000." Looks like the dude was on a drunken rampage. http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2016/09/oak_tree_at_toomers_corner_set.html

UT had a lot of dropped balls yesterday and still beat our asses anyway.

Yeah I wouldn't be too confident on that, it's still a rivalry and you know how those go. If Georgia's WRs can actually catch a ball, they'll have more scores. Eason put it on them consistently.

If you want to laugh look at our 2013 class, it's largely why we have been terrible for 2 years. It was a bad class with laughable attrition. Richt recruited way too many reaches/projects at OL and whiffed on all the good instate receivers outside of MM/TGod.   UGA is very lacking at OL/WR/DB, and lacks depth at DL/LB/OL. Obviously our kicking game is the pits, we literally cannot make 30 yard field goals
